Who we are
David Sussberg Astrology is operated by Positive Path Astrology LLC. Privacy contact: davidasuss@gmail.com. This policy explains what the app handles and why. It does not claim compliance with any particular law; your rights depend on where you live.
Account and sign-in
Sign-in and identity are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Clerk processes your name, email address and sign-in details and sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
Purchases
Billing is handled by Wix and its payment providers. They process your card or payment details; the app does not receive or store your card numbers. To give you access, we receive your verified email and order, plan, payment status and access-period information.
What we store
Our app is hosted on Replit, with data stored in a Postgres database. It holds your saved birth data and charts, including optional partner snapshots you choose to save, profile labels, the preview readings you chose on the free plan, and the policy version you accepted with its timestamp and your adult affirmation.
Data in your browser
The app uses your browser's local storage to remember preferences, your current chart and, if you choose, partner details. This data stays in that browser until you clear it. It is separate from your cloud account: deleting cloud data does not clear your browser, and clearing your browser does not delete cloud data.
Maps and place search
Map tiles are loaded from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. Those requests reveal your IP address, standard request information and the map area being viewed. When you look up a place by location, coordinates are sent to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) for reverse geocoding. We do not claim that all data stays on your device or that use of the app is anonymous.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage that are necessary for sign-in, security and remembering your settings. We do not describe these as optional advertising cookies.
How we use data
To provide and secure the service, draw your charts and readings, match purchases to your account, respond to you and meet legal obligations.
Other people's data
Only enter another person's birth data if you have permission or other lawful authority. Accounts are for adults; we do not invite children to register or provide personal information directly. Contact davidasuss@gmail.com about a child's account or information submitted without appropriate authority so we can investigate.
Your choices and requests
You can delete saved charts from your dashboard. There is not yet an in-app account export or account deletion feature. To request access, correction, export or deletion of your data, email davidasuss@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. We may keep records required for legal, security or payment purposes, and deleted data may remain in backups for a period before it is overwritten.
International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. We rely on providers' own safeguards and contractual terms for these transfers. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object, and to complain to a regulator.
Changes
We will publish a new version of this policy when it materially changes.
